The Rosetta Ensemble is a company of international musicians that originated from a productive collaboration between the Dutch production company Barav Music as part of its project “Canto di Rosetta” and musicians residing in Belgium and Germany.
The core of the ensemble consists of voice, violin and guitar and performs a classic repertoire written or arranged for this particular vocal/instrumental combination.
Since the ensemble came into existence, the best musicians residing in Europe have been invited to perform in the ensemble. The violin and viola, for example, are played by Mikhail Bezverkhni, who already enjoys a long and successful career as a solo violinist. The guitar is played by the German guitarist, Michael Benedik, very proficient at the spanish repertoire. And, finally, soprano Mirjam Wesselink de Barrientos’s voice and inspiration help make the group’s performances so memorable.
